Clint Hill, USSS Agent Who Shielded First Lady Jackie Kennedy During JFK Assassination, Dies At 93

Clint Hill, a well-known US Secret Service agent who protected First Lady Jacqueline (Jackie) Kennedy during the assassination of former Democratic President John F. Kennedy, died at the age of 93.

His wife, Lisa McCubin Hill, posted on Instagram to announce his death.

“It's in a broken heart that I have to announce the passing of my amazing husband, Clint Hill,” Lisa posted. “He passed away peacefully in my arms on February 21st, at home.st2025. ”

“From the moment we met there was an undeniable spark between us,” his wife added on Instagram Monday afternoon. “We had the once-in-a-lifetime love that everyone wanted. It's a relationship filled with passion, respect, admiration and pure joy to be together.”

“I am forever grateful for every day and every moment in the last 15 years that we have shared,” she writes. “For us, forever. Rest in the peace of my sweet prince.”

According to the report Associated PressHill passed away Friday at his California home.

At the time, Hill was a 31-year-old Secret Service agent and was assigned to First Lady Jackie Kennedy and took on the role of being a conservation detail. Hill traveled to Dallas, Texas on November 22nd with the couplend1963.

During the incident, the agent was caught in video, captured by famous photos, and jumped into the back of the vehicle carrying the president and first lady when a gunshot erupted, killing the country's 35th president. In the photo, the first lady can be seen roaming raw towards the hill as she exits something convertible in the mayhem.

“A three shot was fired in Dallas on November 22, 1963,” Hill posted to X on the 61st anniversary of the 2024 assassination. “The scary images are still clear. I was a 31-year-old, unknown Secret Service agent and suddenly entered history. At 92, I agreed to my place in history. I tried it. I failed, but at least I tried it.”
