“We're not a racist country, Brian. We've never been a racist country,” Haley told Fox News host Brian Kilmeade on Tuesday. “Our goal is to make sure that today is better than yesterday. Are we perfect? No. But our goal is to always strive and strive every day to be as perfect as we can be.” It’s about making an effort.”

“First of all, she acknowledged in that clip that racism exists and that she faces it,” Cupp said, interrupting another panelist. ”[Haley] I know about that. It happened in her backyard. But if voters want their presidential candidate to tell them America is a racist country, it stands to reason they don't have anyone to vote for, because just a year and a half ago, Joe -Biden said the exact same thing. Of course, I don't think it's that controversial to say that there is racism, instances of racism, systemic racism that we all need to deal with, but [saying] The fact that America as a whole may not be a racist country is actually not all that controversial. ”
Blitzer responded directly to Kapp, asking if Haley “remembers all those segregated schools, movie theaters, and restaurants?”
“That was pretty racist,” he added.
“Of course,” Ms. Cupp said, adding, “I don't know how much time Haley has to give to history class every time she's asked this question.”
“Joe Biden couldn’t do that either,” she said. “Joe Biden talked about Jim Crow, but he also said this is not a racist country. I think if we're going to apply these standards, we need to apply them fairly.”

“Obviously there has been significant improvement over the last few years, but in retrospect, her statement that we were not a racist country is clearly false,” Blitzer said.
Asked about racism in America, President Biden said he did not believe that “the American people are racist.” According to CNN.
“No, I don't think the American people are racist,” Biden said. “But I think that 400 years later, African Americans are still in a situation where they are far behind the eight ball in terms of education, health and opportunity.”
“I don't think America is racist,” he added.
