Colorado Secretary of State Jenna Griswold (D) supports the state’s House Democrats’ push to ban “assault weapons.”

On February 29, 2024, Griswold (pictured above) was using X. share Denver 7 reported on the broader gun control push Colorado House Democrats have undertaken this year. The broader push includes the creation of a new no-go zone that prohibits licensed concealed carry vessels from even being armed for self-defense purposes, stricter requirements for obtaining a concealed carry permit, and a ban on “assault weapons.” .
Another gun control measure being pushed by Colorado House Democrats is an 11% excise tax on firearm sales.
