CO Mayor Asks for Migrant Gang Eviction, Gov. Polis Dismisses Problem

City officials in Aurora, Colorado, are asking the court for permission to evict Venezuelan immigrant gangs from apartment complexes, while Democratic Gov. Jared Polis continues to deny video reports of a gang takeover.

Just two days ago, Governor Polis and his spokesperson were urging Americans to ignore the lying eyes regarding a video showing armed immigrant gangs taking over apartment complexes and forcing residents to hand over rent to the gangs.

A spokesman for the governor told media that reports of armed members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua were the figment of Aurora City Councilman Daniel Jurinski's imagination.

The spokesperson also criticized local Aurora officials, adding: “Mr Polis sincerely hopes that responsible City Council members will stop undermining the safety of their city.”

However, a Department of Homeland Security source said Confirmed On Friday, the armed men seen in the video were identified as members of the Venezuelan street gang Tren de Aragua, NewsNation reported.

There is other evidence supporting the governor's indifference. For example, some building owners said Fox News reported that immigrants flooded the building and that crime has been on the rise since then.

Fox News also reported that the Aurora City Attorney's Office plans to ask a judge to declare the properties a “criminal nuisance.”

“This would require a city judge to issue an order with the goal of returning these properties to the control of their owners,” Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman said. said In a social media post:

Polis on Sunday tried to claim that Vice President Harris supports building a wall on the southern border with Mexico.

“This is another issue that is very misleading when it comes into the public debate. Democrats in general, Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, you know, Barack Obama, have always been in favor of building a barrier or a wall in certain places on the border as part of a comprehensive border strategy,” Polis said Sunday on ABC's “The House of Representatives.” this week.

But Harris' claims that she supports a border wall are weak. She ties such support to the passage of a much-failed Democratic border bill called the “Emergency National Security Supplemental Appropriations Act.” That bill is unlikely to pass in any form, making her support for the wall in this case irrelevant.

Additionally, she has publicly spoken out against the construction of a border wall.

Meanwhile, some Aurora residents are organizing to stay ahead of the criminal gangs.
