Coca-Cola has recalled thousands of cans of Minute Maid Zero Sugar Lemonade that were improperly labeled and actually contained 40 grams of sugar in the regular lemonade formula. According to Submit to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
of recollectionThe issue, which Coca-Cola issued in September but did not make public, affected 13,152 cases containing 12 cartons of 12 12-ounce cans of lemonade.
The incorrectly labeled product was shipped to retailers in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. Affected products included cartons with code FEB1725CNA or FEB1725CNB. The UPC code is 0 25000 12115 9.
F.D.A. classified The recall is Class II, meaning it “involves a health hazard situation in which there is a remote possibility of adverse health effects from the use of the product.”
A Coca-Cola spokesperson said in a statement: reported in multiple outlet“In September, Coca-Cola Consolidated voluntarily recalled a limited number of 12-ounce cans of Minute Maid Lemonade in certain areas of Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. Affected products remain on the market. “All recall activities in these markets have been completed.”
Customers who purchased the product are encouraged to discard the product or return it to the point of purchase for a refund.
