Colbert unleashes shocking three-word insult at Trump following his unfounded claim after his struggling show was canceled

Colbert Reacts to His Show’s Cancellation

Stephen Colbert took to his late-night CBS show to address his recent firing, coining the term “martist” for himself as he commented on the situation. Colbert, who has been a persistent critic of Trump, expressed his thoughts during a monologue late Monday, appearing to relish the news of his show’s cancellation.

“How can you dare you, teacher? Could an exaggerated man create the next satirical wit?” he quipped to his audience.

Following CBS’s announcement, Colbert seemed to have a humorous take on the matter. He later poked fun at Trump’s reaction to his firing. Trump had boasted on his platform about enjoying the news, even suggesting that Jimmy Kimmel might be next.

Colbert’s immediate reply? “Absolutely not.”

In a playful tirade, he addressed Kimmel, stating, “Kimmel, I’m a martian. There’s only one space on this cross. And the view from here is amazing. You can see your home.” He indicated that his critical tone would only escalate as CBS’s time with him dwindled.

Colbert made it clear that he wasn’t backing down: “They made one mistake and they kept me alive. The gloves are off for the next 10 months,” he said.

As the news unfolded, CBS publicly shared its reasoning, citing financial issues linked to the show’s performance since May 2026. This disclosure came not long after Colbert reportedly criticized Paramount, noting a $16 million legal settlement related to the company’s dealings with the Trump administration.

Colbert called the entire situation “big fat bribes,” offering a frank take on the intricate world of entertainment and politics.
