A Colorado dentist was arrested at a Florida airport after flying there to have sex with a mother, who turned out to be an undercover cop, and her 8-year-old daughter.
Dr. James Jason Asa, 50, is accused of messaging a woman he believed to be a single mother in Florida for 10 months. Landed August 9 at Palm Beach International Airport Daily Mail Reported.
“It would be nice to find a mother and daughter to play with,” the Bloomfield man allegedly wrote in one message and detailed the sex acts he would like to perform with the fictitious girl.
According to federal agents, when undercover officers asked Asa if he had previously engaged in sexual relations with another mother and daughter, Asa responded, “Unfortunately, no.”
“There were numerous times when I thought I had an opportunity, but it was ultimately ignored,” the disgraced doctor wrote, according to the 27-page document. Indictment the Palm Beach Post I got it.
When the decoy mother explained how she allegedly seduced her young daughter with sex toys, Asa reportedly responded: “That sounds great, I’d love to be a part of it.”
While Asa was finalizing the details of meeting the woman and her daughter, agents repeatedly asked him to confirm whether he was willing to have sex with the child.
Although the defendant expressed misgivings, he answered “yes” each time, according to the indictment.
“I’m so nervous but serious,” Asa reportedly wrote in one message. “In my head the cops are waiting for me when I get there.”
Asa ultimately decided not to follow his instincts and called the undercover agent to discuss details of the trip, including that he wanted the 8-year-old girl to wear “age-inappropriate” clothing, including makeup, a halter top and “short shorts.”
The fake single mother allowed him to “play” with her daughter on the way home from the airport.
The day before flying to Palm Beach, the dentist told the woman he had purchased chocolate-flavored lubricant and condoms to use on her and the girl, police said.
Once he arrived in Florida and met up with the woman, federal agents handcuffed him and the undercover agent.
According to the indictment, Asa “voluntarily” asked the officers what law enforcement had observed from his conversation before the woman identified herself as a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) employee.
Asa then allegedly waived his Miranda rights and admitted to traveling to Florida to watch the fake mother have explicit sex with the fake daughter.
He also allegedly admitted to possessing child pornography and having such conversations with undercover officers, but denied ever intending to actually carry out the sick plan.
According to the indictment, investigators later determined that the defendant had child pornography stored on his cell phone.
Asa also allegedly participated in multiple online chat rooms discussing incest and other taboo fetishes.
If convicted of attempted seduction of a minor, the doctor could face life in prison.
Representative at Alpine Dental in Boulder, Colorado said According to CBS 12 News, Asa no longer works there, but it’s unclear if he resigned or was fired.
Asa’s pretrial detention hearing is scheduled for Friday.
