A Colorado CEO has been charged with assault for allegedly strangling a teenage boy to death at an In-N-Out restaurant.
According to the Loveland Police Department, officers were called to the scene after reports of a fight happening inside the popular West Coast fast food restaurant.
Police said they spoke with the 15-year-old boy, who admitted he and his friends had been messing around and throwing water at each other.
During the teens’ prank, water splashed onto nearby customers.

According to police, the boy went to the woman’s table to apologize when “an adult male accompanying the woman suddenly grabbed the boy, grabbed him around the front and back of his neck with both hands, pulled him over the table and threw him backwards onto the floor.”

Authorities said the man, later identified as 55-year-old Lucas N. Kalisher, left the burger joint before police arrived.

After speaking with witnesses and reviewing video footage, police identified the suspect as Kalisher, who turned himself in to police just after 10:30 p.m. on August 13.
Kalisher was charged with felony second-degree strangulation and misdemeanor child abuse and was arraigned Wednesday.
Kalisher is CEO of Denver-area Summit Source Funding LLC, according to his LinkedIn page.

Loveland Police released a statement to the public after the incident, saying witnesses played a key role in identifying Kalisher.

“The Loveland Police Department is extremely appreciative of the support we have received from the community during this investigation, which perfectly illustrates our new vision statement: ‘One Community, One Police Department, One Team,'” Loveland Police Chief Tim Dolan said in a statement.
