A man has been sentenced to up to 60 years in prison for setting fire to the wrong house in the Denver, Colorado area in August 2020, killing an entire family.
Among the suspects in the case is Kevin Bui, who was 16 at the time but is now 20 years old. new york post report On Tuesday, he said he recently pleaded guilty in the case.

The fire is said to have been part of a young man’s “savage revenge plot” to find a stolen iPhone. He reportedly found the iPhone in the area using the “Find My iPhone” app.
Boui is accused of leading a group of three friends to start a fire that killed a Senegalese family, including two infants.

First responders told the news outlet that crews found five people dead in the lower levels of the building that night.

Dillon Siebert, then 14, pleaded guilty last year to second-degree murder and was sentenced to three years in a juvenile detention center and seven years in a state prison for juvenile inmates.
Meanwhile, Gavin Seymour, 19, pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree murder and was sentenced to 40 years in prison in March.
Authorities charged Bui as an adult and he pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder. The young man faced 60 other charges, but they were dropped in a plea deal that proposed he spend 60 years in prison.
A verdict is expected to be handed down in early July.
November 2021, CBS Colorado report Bui had his cell phone and other items stolen from a Denver park. He later told police that the alleged arson attack was “part of a plan to get revenge,” the newspaper’s reporter said.
The app located the cellphone in the home, but the family living there reportedly was unable to connect to it.
