A pro-Palestinian group has filed a federal lawsuit against Columbia University, alleging that anti-Israel protesters from the extremist group Students for Justice in Palestine are being harassed on campus.

“As a Palestinian student, I have been harassed, singled out, taunted, and discriminated against by other students and professors simply because of my identity and for asserting my rights and freedoms. It was because of my efforts,” said Mariam Alwan, one of the Palestinians. Four students filed the lawsuit.
“I am appalled by Columbia University’s complete inability to protect me from racism and abuse, but more than that, the university arrested me for peacefully protesting Israeli atrocities in Gaza. And by suspending them from school, they are also contributing to this oppression,” she said. Added.
