Comedian Druski wears 'white face' in provocative NASCAR sketch

Comedian Druski is facing criticism for his “white face” act. In this performance, he donned impressively realistic makeup to impersonate a stereotypical racist NASCAR fan.

The 30-year-old Black comedian seemingly didn’t recognize how strikingly white he made himself—his face, arms, and torso completely covered in light makeup.

Completing the character, he sported a mullet, a beard, an American flag cowboy hat, and shirtless overalls that flaunted American flag tattoos.

The skit, which has gone viral, shows Druski, whose real name is Andrew Deathbords, mingling with tailgaters at a race while adopting exaggerated Southern accents, drinking Budweiser with fellow white attendees, and blasting Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA.”

In some segments, which have racked up over 52 million views on X and gained 468,000 likes, he even pretends to vomit at the feet of a Black man walking past as he leans against a car.

Another scene features him stopping his truck by the Black man and asking, “You lost, boy?” When told to head to the NASCAR event, Druski leans out the window, spits, and replies, “Find safe, boy.”

His 1.2 million followers on X were notably taken aback by his dedication to the role.

One user remarked, “White skin is one thing. But that ridiculous sunburn farmers tan is on another level.”

Another wondered, “This is the tropical lightning level of race swaps. How did he look better?” drawing a comparison to Robert Downey Jr.’s controversial role in a 2007 film.

“Your makeup artist deserves an award,” another commenter noted.

Some praised the skit as perhaps the pinnacle of performance art for this generation, while others criticized it for reinforcing negative stereotypes about NASCAR fans.
