Comedian Nate Bargatze Receives Criticism from Fans After Going to Trump's UFC Event at the White House

Comedian Nate Bargatze is receiving criticism from fans after he attended a UFC event held at Donald Trump’s White House on Sunday. One disappointed fan expressed, “I’m heartbroken that I can no longer be a fan.”

Followers quickly reacted to Bargatze’s recent appearance. One Instagram post drew numerous comments filled with disappointment regarding his presence at the White House event.

“Seriously Nate? You could have at least waited until after the tour, and you haven’t even bought tickets yet,” one user commented, adding their sadness.

Another user lamented, “We’ve met four times and we’ll never see each other again.”

A third person remarked, “The issue is I didn’t think appearances mattered.”

“I can’t believe you did that! So foolish,” another commenter exclaimed.

One individual simply stated, “Nate, you came to the wrong house,” while another declared, “Sorry Nate. I’m out.”

Another user shared, “I love it when people reveal their true selves…so I can stop wasting my time,” while another expressed disappointment, saying, “Ugh. Another one biting the dust. Goodbye, Nate.”

“I can’t be a fan anymore; I’m truly heartbroken,” lamented another user.

“I hope anyone who made disappointing remarks unfollows me soon. Goodbye!” another commenter added.

A representative for Bargatze told HuffPost, “Nate’s focus is primarily on family entertainment. He’s not political, nor does he produce political content. He’s a longtime UFC fan, long before it became politicized.”

The spokesperson pointed out that Bargatze has supporters from both sides of the political spectrum and mentioned that he has appeared on various television shows, including *The View* and *Fox and Friends*, to promote his film, *Breadwinner of the Family*.

“He went last night just to enjoy the sport he loves,” the agent concluded.

However, this explanation didn’t seem to satisfy some fans, who questioned Bargatze’s claim of being non-political.

“It’s over. The term ‘apolitical’ doesn’t hold water anymore. Sorry, brother,” one user said in the comments.

“Not political but mingling with corruption and Epstein’s crowd,” another accused.

“‘Not political’ says a lot more than you realize,” suggested another observer.

“What’s next, Nate? Storming the Capitol, but in a non-political manner?” one Instagram user quipped.

Bargatze has consistently asserted that he avoids political themes in his comedy, telling *Nashville Scene* back in 2017, “I don’t talk about politics. There are plenty of voices out there already.”

“It’s all over TV and late-night shows,” he continued. “No one is suggesting we need more political commentary.”

“I just prefer to steer clear of it and hope to offer people a break from it all,” he added. “It’s hard to find a break nowadays since even sports have become politicized.”

As of now, Bargatze has not publicly addressed the backlash from fans.
