Comedian Theo Von Praises His Experience at Bible Studies with Country Artist Morgan Wallen

Comedian Theo Von Attends Bible Study with Morgan Wallen

Comedian Theo Von recently shared that he participates in a Bible study group with country musician Morgan Wallen, whom he described as an “inspirational man.” In a conversation with fellow comedian Leanne Morgan on her podcast, he mentioned, “I’m going to see him. [Wallen] Actually, I have Bible study tomorrow.”

Leanne responded, “Are we going to see him at a Bible study? I think he’ll end up preaching,” to which Von replied, “I don’t know. I just know he’s an inspirational guy.”

Morgan then added that Wallen seems “real,” while complimenting Von as well. She inquired, “What are you guys studying? Beth Moore?”

In another light moment, Von remarked, “So, I guess we’ll see a movie tomorrow. But it’s a Bible study, right? I don’t know what chapter it is.”

Leanne disclosed that while she used to attend Bible studies during her childhood, she no longer does. “I don’t belong to either now. When I was growing up and raising my children, I belonged to both, but now I don’t belong.” She reflected, “You have to be disciplined to do it yourself.”

Von made a lighthearted joke about parenting, saying, “Well, that’s when you need the Lord the most, when you raise those little henchmen, women and men.”

This isn’t the first time Von has opened up about personal challenges, including addiction and mental health. He often expresses his desire for a deeper connection with God, sharing concerns that religion isn’t widely embraced in the Los Angeles culture, stating, “It’s not a rejection of Christ, but it’s definitely there. Religion is not very welcome.” He mentioned how people often seem eager to take offense.

Nonetheless, he asserts the healing power of faith, saying, “I feel lonely. If you don’t have some kind of faith, you hitchhike. And when I talk about it, I realize that my faith isn’t that strong right now.” He seems to be on a journey to strengthen it.

Von concluded by emphasizing the freedom that faith can bring to parenting, saying, “Now, Jesus Christ, he was the most popular guy in my area growing up. I think this guy is a great example.”
