Comedians Cancel Salesforce Performances Following Benioff's Support for Trump

Comedians Kumail Nanjiani and Ilana Glazer have decided to cancel their performances at Salesforce’s annual conference, DreamForce. This comes amid ongoing backlash against CEO Marc Benioff for his recent support of President Trump.

Earlier this month, reports surfaced indicating that Benioff, who has a history of supporting Democratic causes, has shifted his stance toward Trump. He endorsed the idea of using the National Guard to assist police in San Francisco, which sparked outrage among Democrats, who felt betrayed and described his position as a “slap in the face” instead of an acknowledgment of the city’s struggles.

In light of the situation, Nanjiani and Glazer pulled out of their scheduled appearances without offering specific explanations.

According to a report, a source stated that Nanjiani was unwell and unable to participate, while Glazer also chose to cancel her appearance. This news coincidentally followed the resignation of venture capitalist Ron Conway from the Salesforce Foundation board, raising questions about a potential connection between the two events.

Glazer has been vocal about her views following the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel’s show by ABC. Kimmel faced backlash for comments that wrongfully implicated Trump supporters in the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Glazer, who often appears on Kimmel’s show, found the suspension troubling and expressed concerns about the growing authoritarian control in the U.S.
