As Americans flock to the nation's capital for President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) has released a special public transit card to commemorate the event.
The Inaugural SmarTrip Card is a reloadable fare card that can hold up to $300 in stored value on public transportation within the city, according to WMATA's website.
The transportation card features a photo of President Trump on a red background with a large number 47 behind the president-elect.

The inscription reads, “Inauguration of Donald J. Trump, 45th and 47th President of the United States.”

Participating subway stations around the DMV area will sell the cards while supplies last.
Locations include Ashburn, Forest Glen, Franconia Springfield, Glenmont, Greenbelt, Old Town King St., L'Enfant Plaza, Navy Yard Stadium, New Carrollton, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Shady Grove, and Stadium Armory. , Union Station, Vienna and Washington Dulles International Airport.

In 2017, WMATA issued a generic inaugural card with a sleeve featuring Trump's face.
A WMATA spokesperson told Fox News Digital: “We have produced a variety of special edition Inauguration-themed cards since 1993, with the exception of 2021 as the Inauguration became a virtual event due to the pandemic. ” he said.
To get a Trump Transit Card, be sure to add the fare (one-way fares range from $2.25 to $6.75 depending on distance) or purchase an unlimited one-day pass for $13.50. According to WMATA's website, SmarTrip also charges a $2 fee.

On eBay, some people are listing cards for around $20, but one seller is listing one card for $450, or the “best offer” starting price.
