Complaint Filed Against Red State Schools for Alleged Violation of Ban on Boys Using Girls' Bathrooms

Complaints Emerge Over Ohio Schools’ Handling of Gender Policies

Complaints have been filed against two schools in Ohio after allegations surfaced involving school administrators allegedly enabling boys to continue using girls’ facilities and participating in girls’ sports, despite existing federal and state regulations.

Protect the Public’s Trust (PPT) lodged complaints with several government bodies, including the Department of Justice and the Ohio Department of Health and Human Services, after videos emerged showing administrators from Reading High School and Princeton Municipal School apparently guiding a person pretending to be a parent in misleading ways regarding a student’s biological sex to access the appropriate facilities. There’s a call for an inquiry into the matter.

The complaint asserts, “Transgender ideology is inherently discriminatory and violates Title IX of the Civil Rights Act,” and stresses the importance of investigating school violations promptly.

In one of the videos, a counselor named Jennifer Leone acknowledged the law that prohibits boys from competing in girls’ sports. However, she indicated that if a parent presented a birth certificate aligning with the student’s gender identity, proving otherwise could be difficult, thus complicating enforcement of the law. “You’d think, ‘This proves what the birth certificate says, and it’s wrong,’” Leone remarked to the undercover investigator, suggesting that they avoid diving into such discussions.

Leone apparently reassured those investigating that boys could indeed compete in girls’ sports and utilize women’s restrooms.

Additionally, Tamed Duckworth, the assistant athletic director at PCS, was reportedly reprimanded for not disclosing the biological sex of a student to undercover agents and allegedly attempted to ensure a male child used the women’s facilities cautiously.

There has been no response from Reading Community City School Districts or Princeton City Schools regarding inquiries from the news foundation.

PPT director Michael Chamberlain expressed concerns about the attitudes at these schools, which, he feels, support disruptive policies affecting education. He shared insights from his time at the U.S. Department of Education, noting a tendency towards groupthink in educational environments, which underscores the need for public education on these matters, particularly for parents.

Ohio law stipulates that schools must assign facility use based on biological sex and prohibits gender transition procedures for minors, including hormone treatments. Furthermore, President Donald Trump has enacted an executive order that restricts males from competing in women’s sports, asserting that only biological genders should be recognized federally.
