'Complete falsehood': CNN criticized for 'fake news' report on a Vance-led Epstein strategy meeting

Media’s Role in the Russian Collusion Narrative Scrutinized

The Director of National Intelligence, Tarshi Gabbard, along with CIA Director John Ratcliffe, recently shed light on the liberal media’s ongoing involvement in promoting the narrative of Russian collusion among Americans.

This revelation hasn’t led to any consequences for the media outlets that have consistently pushed false stories over the years.

One striking example involves a newly declassified Durham annex, which reveals that the Clinton Campaign orchestrated a conspiracy that falsely implicated opponents in Russian collusion. This provided detailed and credible information that infiltrated the media, ultimately giving the FBI justifications to pursue a political adversary. The New York Times even frames this sensitive report as a diversion from the Epstein case, failing to accurately convey its significance.

A recurring theme seems to be that some articles don’t age well and falter under scrutiny. Just recently, The Times tried to deflect attention from these older falsehoods, but CNN has shown a reluctance to cover the Durham Annex. Instead, they are preparing to tackle another story this week that also appears to be a fabrication.

On Tuesday, CNN released an article titled, “President Trump discusses Epstein’s strategy at Vice President J.D. Vance’s residence on Wednesday.” This particular article has also faced scrutiny and doesn’t seem reliable.

CNN claimed that various officials, including White House staff and legal authorities, were set to meet at Vance’s home to address the Epstein case and form a unified response.

In a related report, anonymous sources suggested that the White House sees these officials as key players in Trump’s ongoing strategy regarding the Epstein Files. However, CNN later revised its statement, indicating that Vance was, in fact, not among those considering the White House’s leadership in the ongoing Epstein strategy.

A spokesperson for Vance asserted that the original reporting was entirely inaccurate, emphasizing that there was no scheduled meeting at the Vice President’s residence to discuss the Epstein strategy.

CNN’s Alayna Treene, upon realizing the story had flaws, backtracked, relaying that internal discussions about the meeting’s details had become fluid due to extensive media coverage, raising questions about possible cancellations or rescheduling.

Adding to the confusion, she later tweeted that there was no confirmed meeting to discuss the Epstein strategy, contradicting earlier reports.

As the story unfolds, some sources still cling to the possibility of the dinner occurring elsewhere, albeit it may not be directly tied to Epstein’s case—a subtle admission of the fluidity in their narrative.

This juxtaposition of statements reflects the complex landscape of media reporting on political scandals, leaving many questioning what to believe.

In light of recent events, Vance commented, “What we reported today is completely fake news.”
