Concealed carriers in Chicago — a man and a woman — open fire on attackers in separate incidents on same day

In Chicago last weekend, in separate incidents on the same day, a man and two women carrying concealed guns opened fire on assailants.

The first attack happened early Saturday around 1:40 a.m. in the 200 block of West 63rd Street in the Englewood neighborhood on the city’s south side, police said. He told WLS-TV.

The woman had a concealed carry permit and a Firearm Owners Identification Card, and pulled out a gun and shot the girl in the left shoulder, WBBM reported.

Two men, ages 36 and 49, were arguing at the gas station when the 36-year-old pulled a gun from his car and fired shots at the 49-year-old man, police said.

But his goal was not to lose.

The 49-year-old man had a concealed carry permit and fought back, shooting the 36-year-old man in the arm, WLS reported.

The 36-year-old man was taken to St. Bernard Hospital in critical condition, the station said.

Area 1 detectives are investigating, WLS reported, adding that police did not immediately provide further details about the shooting.

The second attack occurred within 24 hours.

police He told WBBM-TV Police said a 17-year-old female was arguing with a 26-year-old female in the 3000 block of South Fort Dearborn Drive, near 31st Street Beach, on Saturday just after 11:30 p.m.

During the argument, the girl pulled out a sharp object and stabbed the woman in the arm, WBBM reported.

However, the girl’s target quickly stopped the attack.

The woman, who had a concealed carry permit and a gun owner’s identification card, pulled out a gun and shot the girl in the left shoulder, WBBM reported.

The girl was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where she was treated and released, but was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault with serious bodily injury, according to WBBM.

WBBM reported the woman was taken to Insight Hospital in good condition and that Area 1 detectives are investigating.

Just a month ago, a man carrying a concealed gun was attacked by three men during an argument outside his Chicago home, and police said he shot and killed them.
