WASHINGTON, DC — What began as the Women's March in January 2017 was renamed the People's March ahead of President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration, a mix of liberal, progressive and socialist groups. transformed into a group. Despite expanding the categories of protest groups, the rally did not draw the same size as the first Women's March that followed President Trump's first swearing-in eight years ago. The only thing this group seemed to have in common was “anti-Trump.”

Two days before President Donald Trump's 2025 inauguration, pro-abortion protesters marched through Washington, D.C., teaming up with leftists of all stripes. Organized in 2017 to protest Donald Trump's first inauguration, the Women's March is an LGBTQIA, democratic socialist, pro-Palestinian, open border, anti-militarist, “democracy”, pro-climate change movement. It was called the “rebranded People's March''. ”

They, among pro-choice and union supporters and other left-wing progressives, “are committed to supporting all communities most affected by unsafe systems, police brutality, mass incarceration, and colonization. Thousands of people marched to the Lincoln Memorial from three locations across the nation's capital. Kickoff stations were located in downtown Washington, DC, Farragut Square, McPherson Square, and Franklin Park. The central purpose of the march was to protest President Trump's “fascist” and regressive policies.

Participants in the People's March posted signs that read, “We will not go back,” “When injustice becomes law,” “Resistance becomes a duty,” and “Hate will not make us great.” He held up a placard. A few pro-life demonstrators appeared near the rally's main stage, but were called out and silenced by advocates of countless other left-wing causes.

The anti-fascist left has accused pro-life activist Seth Dreyer. CreatedEqual.org. Anti-fascists spray-painted his anti-abortion sign after other pro-choice demonstrators tried to cover it up. D.C. Metro Police arrived minutes later and gathered information regarding the assault.

Only two American flags were visible during the march through the nation's capital. One of them flew upside down. Another flew over the LGTBQ+ flag. The reported crowd of 25,000 protesters is mostly white and appears to be primarily pro-abortion.

The gathering appeared to be well-funded, with seating areas and an expansive soundstage for speakers. Ben and Jerry's tent stood out in the crowd.

As Republicans and President Trump embrace an outdoor inauguration, leftists claim they braved harsh winter conditions to stage their protests, but Saturday's weather was fairly mild, with temperatures near 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Ta. Forecasts for Monday's inauguration call for a high of 18 mph, winds of 22 degrees, snow on the roads and fields, and a “feel-like” temperature of about 9 degrees.
