During an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity” on Thursday, Transport Secretary Shawn Duffy remarked that the complete overhaul of the air traffic control system, which typically takes about 10 to 15 years, could potentially be accomplished in just three to four years, but this would necessitate securing all the required funding upfront.
Duffy emphasized the comprehensive nature of the project, stating, “We’re going to rebuild every part, every aspect of the air traffic control system. This includes the entire radio, radar, telecom infrastructure, as well as all the front and back office operations for the air traffic controllers.”
