New Marriage Announcement!

Carmen Andrade, known for her viral tales about life as a conjoined twin, recently shared that she married her longtime boyfriend, Daniel McCormack, in an intimate ceremony in Connecticut.

“We eloped with family in October,” Carmen revealed during a Thursday interview. They exchanged vows at the historic Lover’s Jumping Bridge over the Housatonic River in New Milford.

Carmen, who is the right twin sharing her life with sister Lupita, wore a stunning emerald green dress adorned with sequins—definitely not your traditional wedding attire. “I wasn’t in white,” she explained. “I don’t regret it. White isn’t my thing. It’s not just about me.”

Daniel, 28, complemented her look with a dark suit, emerald green bow tie, and a sunflower boutonniere, tying in with Carmen’s vibrant bouquet.

Last month, Carmen also talked about this big life update on YouTube, during a video called “Excessive Updates!” She exclaimed, “I’m married,” while showing off her left hand, proudly displaying her wedding ring.

Lupita, on the other hand, humorously chimed in, “I didn’t.” She expressed that while she and Carmen share a unique bond, she identifies as asexual and aromatic. “I don’t want to get married,” she clarified in the same video.

The couple met on a dating app, Hinge, in October 2020, after receiving numerous messages from people with specific interests. Carmen appreciated Daniel, saying he wasn’t one to focus on her condition. Although she initially had social anxiety and even canceled their first date, she felt at ease while getting to know him.

Carmen noted that their relationship, while not sexually intimate, is akin to a deep friendship—a bond they truly cherish.

The twins, originally from Mexico and raised in Connecticut, share various organs, including their pelvis, reproductive system, liver, and blood flow. Interestingly, they do not have the same heart or stomach despite having a shared digestive system. It took them about 17 years to gain control of one foot each, allowing them to adjust better.

They were featured on the 2020 TLC show “Merged Twins: Individual,” which focused on their journey toward independence as they prepared for college. Moving forward, Carmen has decided not to pursue a degree in veterinary technology but aims to concentrate on their YouTube channels, including sketches crafted by Lupita.
