Connecticut influencer caught speeding at 137 miles per hour

A social media influencer from Connecticut filmed himself driving at an astonishing speed of 137 miles per hour, which he shared online.

Giovanni Petruzziello, who runs a luxury auto repair shop in North Haven, posted footage of himself speeding through a 25-mile-per-hour zone.

The 27-year-old has quite a following, with over 250,000 people on Instagram who, I assume, are both amazed and probably concerned by his antics.

According to Connecticut State Police, Petruzziello’s speeds were reported to be up to five times the limit in residential neighborhoods across Durham, Hadham, and Killingworth.

In another instance, he was said to have driven his Ferrari at 88 mph in a 30 mph area. It’s, well, a little hard to believe, frankly.

He’s also been shown driving a Lamborghini at 112 mph on Route 79 in Durham, which sounds incredibly reckless, right?

During one of these videos, he allegedly ran a stop sign and barely missed colliding with other vehicles. That sounds terrifying.

Petruzziello was arrested following a traffic stop on May 19 and had to post a $150,000 bond to get released.

He’s facing seven charges of reckless driving and three counts of reckless danger. Quite the resume for a social media star.

This incident follows close on the heels of another motorcyclist getting detained for speeding at 200 mph, which makes you wonder if there’s a trend emerging—or maybe just some really bad decision-making happening on the roads.

Petruzziello is also the founder of Legends Auto Boutique, a business that specializes in customizing high-end vehicles, according to its website.
