Connecticut Sun sign two sharpshooters ahead of 2025 WNBA season

The Connecticut Sun announced Monday that Guard Madison Hayes and forward Morgan Murray have signed a training camp deal.

Madison Hayes completed a strong graduate season in North Carolina. She averaged a career-high 10.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. She led the Wolfpack with game-by-game rebounds, leading offensive overall rebounds (71), 3-point percentage (41.3%) and free throw percentage (81.9%). Hayes helped Wolfpack appear in two ACC regular season titles (2022, 2025), the ACC Conference Tournament Crown (2022), and the 2024 NCAA Final Four.

Meanwhile, Morgan Marie joins the Sun after a five-year career at Clayton University. The 6-1 guard scored a career-high 17.3 points per game during his senior season, along with 5.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists. She also shot a career-high 42.7%, surpassing the 3-point line.

Marie is playing (150) in Clayton’s best game of all time and has a 3-point field goal (333). She also ranks second in scoring (2,072) and sixth in rebounds (801). She helped lead the Blue Jays to their fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament Bertrace in 2022, including the first ever NCAA Elite 8 appearance.

  • A veteran guard diamond deshield contracted with Sun at a free agency
  • Guard Marina Mabury Returns to Second Season in Connecticut
  • Guard Jay Sheldon, Sun acquired from the Dallas Wings in trade
  • Forward Meer Holling Shed, drafted in 2022 by the Las Vegas ace, but hasn’t played yet WNBA

  • Guarded Yvonne Anderson, who played for the Sun in 2022 before
