Connecticut teen beaten in public park after she allegedly used a racial slur toward black girls

Shocking video shows a white teenage girl being severely beaten by two black girls in a public park after they accused her of using racial slurs.

According to Snapchat footage obtained by Snapchat, the video shows a white teenager jumping around on the ground inside Byram Park in Greenwich, Conn., on Tuesday around 8:30 p.m. Two teenage girls inflict a series of blows on her. ABC7.

The victim was then seen being dragged down a hill by one of the assailants, while onlookers screamed and recorded the mayhem, inciting violence.

A teenage girl was assaulted by a group of other teens in a Connecticut park after being caught on camera using a racial slur.

Minutes later, the victim is seen sitting on the ground, surrounded by other crowd members, and screaming along with multiple people.

The victim is then seen on video yelling at someone in the crowd to “hit me again” and using the N-word.

The crowd then roared in disbelief as violence erupted again.

The second beating was so severe that the person recording the Snapchat began repeatedly yelling at the two attackers to “chill”.

The attackers appeared to beat the victim until he lost consciousness and had to be dragged away by onlookers.

The victim was then seen being dragged down a hill by one of the assailants, while onlookers screamed inciting violence and recorded the mayhem.

Police said they found the victim, a Greenwich High School senior, lying on the ground when they responded to a call about a strange weekday gathering at the park.

She was then rushed to a local hospital with minor injuries.

What sparked the initial violence is still unclear.

The crowd then roared in disbelief as violence erupted again.

“We’re still looking at the motive, why people would do these things, so we don’t know that yet,” Greenwich Police Department Lt. John Slussaerts told ABC7.

Of the approximately 20 people seen in the Snapchat video, two were arrested and five were identified as involved in the attack.

Police say additional charges against those involved are pending.

The victim is then seen on video yelling at someone in the crowd to “hit me again” and using the N-word.

“Detectives from the Community Impact Unit have identified all subjects involved in the fight at Byram Park,” the department posted. Facebook Thursday.

“All involved have been arrested and will be referred to Stamford Superior Court.”

Law enforcement officials say those suspected of taking part in the assault are from Greenwich, Stamford and Port Chester.

The attackers appeared to beat the victim until he lost consciousness and had to be dragged away by onlookers.

“People assaulting people is a new phenomenon that we’ve seen in the last few years,” Greenwich First Selectman Fred Camillo told the paper.

“Some malicious actors record videos as if it were some kind of game.”

Camilo said three different branches of police are investigating the assault and the town takes it “seriously.”
