Scott Jennings Reviews Trump-Musk Feud with a Dramatic Gesture

On Thursday, CNN commentator Scott Jennings made headlines when he dramatically put his head into a trash bin to express his feelings about the ongoing dispute between President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

Musk has been a strong supporter of Trump since the 2024 presidential election. However, recent tensions arose after Musk lost to Trump over a significant bill that he described as filled with “disgusting hatred.”

This online feud escalated, with Musk making the assertion that Trump’s name appeared in the Jeffrey Epstein files, fueling the controversy further.

Jennings attempted to capture the mood among Republicans while participating in the “Leave with Jake Tupper” segment. He commented, “This is the state of everyone I know now,” as he emphasized his point by stabbing his head into the trash can.

In a more somber tone, Jennings reflected, “I’m not going to lie. It’s an ugly day, and you hate it when your friends are fighting.” He expressed his belief that the collaboration between Trump and Musk had benefited the country, suggesting that their objectives weren’t necessarily at odds.

He urged Republicans to unify in support of both leaders’ goals while also cautioning them that Democrats were likely watching and could take advantage of their discord. “Laughter, move on,” he said, highlighting the risks of internal conflict.

Lastly, Jennings hoped that cooler heads would prevail, enabling Trump to push forward his agenda while Musk could highlight the seriousness of the debt issue to fellow Republicans. The “Big Beautiful Bill,” which includes funding for various aspects of Trump’s policies, is currently making its way through the Senate.
