Conservative Group Backs Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Primary Challenger with Times Square Billboards, $100K in Media

The Keep America America Action Fund, a super PAC with ties to the Job Creators Network, a small business advocacy group, is backing investment banker Marty Dolan, who is trying to unseat far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in the Democratic primary for the 14th Congressional District. The PAC is spending $100,000 on media and social media buyouts, including a billboard ad in Times Square.

New York voters will already be seeing giant billboards in Times Square blaring messages accusing Ocasio-Cortez of ignoring “rising crime,” “high food prices” and “out-of-control energy costs.”

For Dolan, the “illegal immigration mess” has been central to his campaign’s criticism of AOC.

“The rise in illegal immigrants entering New York is competing with her constituents for resources,” Dolan said. Said USA Today“AOC’s foolish encouragement of global migration, with the prize being a 2,200-mile walk from Ecuador to Texas, resulted in the deaths of between 25,000 and 50,000 civilians along the Central American trail to El Paso.”

“We need to send a message to the world that we need to freeze the border and stop people dying along the way,” Dolan said. “Republicans are right on this issue, but that doesn’t make me a Republican. No party is right on every issue.”

“It doesn’t make sense to have competing national, state, county and city policies,” he said. “The city is a government entity, not a sovereign nation. This is where all the confusion and the resulting mayhem comes from.”

Dolan, 66, also denounces AOC-backed bail reform policies that have allowed lawlessness to flourish in New York state and criminals to run wild. “Bail reform is a huge failure, with the National Guard on our subways and toothpaste locked up in our drugstores while criminals run free,” his campaign website states.

“We have National Guard troops on our subways and toothpaste locked up in drug stores, yet criminals roam free and scarce resources are being directed toward (non-sanctuary) immigrants from all over the world,” Dolan said.

AOC faced intense criticism after she accused Amazon of blocking plans to open a new Manhattan office that would have brought 1,500 new jobs to New York City.

“While the jobs are welcome, this new development does not undo the damage caused by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) earlier this year, whose vocal opposition to Amazon HQ2 in Queens led to the loss of 25,000 jobs in the city,” the Job Creators Network said in a statement.
