Consumers' Research Urges Inquiry into DISH Network

A recent initiative by Consumer Research is calling for an examination of Dish Network’s approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), environmental practices, and children’s programming, according to exclusive information from Breitbart News.

Consumer Research, a nonprofit organization aiming to “enhance knowledge and understanding of consumer-related issues,” has kicked off a campaign featuring a mobile billboard. This billboard is designed to draw attention to Dish Network and its policies, alongside creating a new website focused on their practices.

Among the billboard messages is a statement criticizing the company for supposedly prioritizing propaganda over programming and asserting the need to stop “indoctrinating children.” A notable image shows a young boy watching a television screen with imagery of a drag queen.

Additional signage conveys messages like “I violate Trump’s policies” and “Investigate this now!” Another sign depicts the boy connected to what appears to be a screen featuring the phrase “climate behaviorism.”

Will Hild, the executive director of Consumer Research, stated that the “obvious emphasis on an agenda including DEI policies and gender ideology warrants an investigation by the DOJ and FCC.” He noted that former President Trump had previously expressed a need for businesses to refrain from engaging in such activities.

As part of this research campaign, the Consumer Research website will focus on “awakening alerts” associated with Dish Network.

According to the website, Dish Network has shown a tendency toward an “awakened agenda,” questioning if it has drifted from being a mere cable service to something more problematic.

Dish Network, a prominent player in the cable television and internet sectors, is accused of compromising its customer integrity by allegedly pushing gender ideology, DEI, and climate action agendas. The company has reportedly adopted indoctrination tactics, including programs such as “hacking your biased brain,” which claim to promote diverse and inclusive teamwork.

In a now-removed DEI page, Dish expressed its commitment to creating a diverse workplace while outlining “Five Strategic Pillars,” which include Recruitment, Data Analysis, Learning, HR Development, and Organizational Processes.

In light of these concerns, Hild has sent correspondence to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and others, highlighting what he describes as evidence of discriminatory practices tied to Dish Network’s DEI initiatives.

His letter specified that some of the concerning practices include a broad DEI framework, political training for employees, and promotion of gender-related ideologies.

Hild noted that Dish’s co-founders have consistently contributed to Democratic candidates and organizations endorsing DEI policies, which has raised eyebrows, particularly after a controversy surrounding political donations emerged in 2024.

Hild concluded by urging an examination of Dish’s initiatives to see if there have been violations of regulations that might stem from the co-founders’ political engagements.

Breitbart News has previously covered Consumer Research’s campaign against Dish Network, focusing not only on their DEI stance but also on the political donations made by co-founder Charles Ergen.
