Tyler Cherry, the newly appointed White House deputy communications director who has sparked controversy with his violent anti-white tweets, has also been a long-standing anti-Israel tirade on social media.
As Breitbart News reported Sunday, “Tyler Cherry was at the center of a social media outrage last week after old posts resurfaced that contained extreme rhetoric, many of which were harshly critical of law enforcement and derogatory towards white people.”
Jewish Insider Reports Cherry has also made anti-Israel posts.
Cherry’s posts about Israel date back to when he was an undergraduate at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2014 and 2015. His criticism of U.S. support for Israel contrasts with the Biden administration’s stated support for the Jewish state since the Oct. 7 Hamas attack and the resulting Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.
In August 2014, as a new war raged between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, Cherry was responding to a post by then-US Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power, who expressed condolences for aid workers killed in Israeli airstrikes, saying, “Yet we continue to allow the Israeli military to replenish its arsenals with US ammunition and weapons…”
…
A few days ago, Cherry emphasised his support for the Palestinian cause: “Let’s cheer in the bar for an end to the occupation of Palestine. There’s no shame in that. Fuck the stares. #ISupportGaza #FreePalestine.”
Cherry has since deleted the controversial post, but Assert He said he would continue to work in the White House to support President Joe Biden’s agenda, with a focus on climate and environmental policy.
