Convicted drug dealer seen sobbing as she’s arrested by ICE after reentering US

A Dominican drug dealer, previously deported as a fentanyl prostitute, was seen as tears and broken after being arrested while returning illegally to the US.

Virginia Basola Gonzalez, 36, was sobbing as an agent arrested her in Philadelphia last Wednesday. Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) I said.

“The arrest of Virginia Basola Gonzalez demonstrates our commitment to protecting our community from criminals engaged in serious illegal activities that pose a threat to public safety,” said Brian McShane, acting Philadelphia Field Office Director.

“This successful joint operation exemplifies the joint efforts of federal law enforcement agencies, enforcing immigration laws in our country and eliminating dangerous individuals from the streets.”

The tear-eyed drug dealer was living illegally when the Drug Enforcement Bureau first arrested her in Pennsylvania in June 2019, and arrested her aid and beg.

She pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to 12 months, one day of confinement and four years of supervised release, but was deported by ice back to her home country in the Dominican Republic before she was sentenced to her sentence in October 2020.

The agent is said to have grabbed Baso La Gonzales outside his job at the Latierra del Caribe restaurant in North Philadelphia, where he worked as a chef.

According to the affidavit, law enforcement used the FBI fingerprint database to verify her identity.

Her court-appointed lawyer said she should not be detained before trial.

The government responded to her previous conviction by “confirming the conclusion that pretrial detention is necessary.”
