The prospect of a Jewish scholar speaking freely about ending a war caused by Hamas terrorists was clearly too much for anti-Israel students on campus. The radicals called for an “intifada” and succeeded in breaking off the talks, and police escorted the professor to safety.

report Brutinger, who teaches at California State University, Long Beach, had intended to give a talk titled “Building Just Solutions: Where Do Israelis and Palestinians Go From Here?” The talk was reportedly sponsored by a grant from Jewish Silicon Valley and hosted by the SJSU Jewish Studies Program.
If the speech had not ended up being censored by a hate-filled mob, Brutinger would have discussed both “the path to the current situation” and “a possible path forward.”

Brutinger suggested it was unfortunate that radicals deprived students of learning opportunities.
