Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger Supports Trump’s Decision on Iran
Adam Kinzinger, a former Republican representative from Illinois and a vocal critic of Donald Trump, has surprisingly backed the president’s recent decision to bomb Iran’s nuclear sites. According to reports, Trump confirmed that the United States targeted three nuclear facilities in Iran.
Kinzinger expressed his thoughts, saying, “In my opinion, the US attack on nuclear facilities is the right call. While it’s too early to gauge the outcome, the focus should now shift to negotiations aimed at reducing tensions and ending hostilities with Iran. This was a good call by the president.”
He went on to underscore that the military’s role could pave the way for diplomatic efforts. “There’s always risk involved, but Iran has long been a threat, targeting and killing Americans. Allowing Iran to possess nuclear capabilities isn’t acceptable,” Kinzinger stated.
Addressing those who may argue that Iran hasn’t attacked Americans, Kinzinger reminded them that “Iran killed 500 American troops in Iraq during the war.”
Trump has indicated that the bombing of Iran’s facilities is a singular event, aiming to avoid a protracted conflict unless Iran retaliates.
George Conway, another prominent anti-Trump figure, weighed in on Kinzinger’s support. He remarked, “It’s hard to predict where this war might lead us. It feels like a calculated manipulation between the cunning and the reckless, drawing us deeper into conflict with a fanatical regime.”
