Costa Rican authorities look for woman following the discovery of an American man's body at a beach condo

Costa Rican officials are currently on the lookout for a woman believed to be connected to a homicide following the discovery of an American’s body in late September.

The country’s Judicial Investigation Agency, which functions similarly to the FBI in the U.S., has sought assistance from the public to help identify this woman. The deceased has been named as “Fleming,” a 74-year-old American found dead in a condo on September 27, located near the beach.

According to authorities, Fleming entered the condominium in Playas del Coco, a well-known tourist spot on Costa Rica’s northern Pacific coast, at about 4:50 p.m. on that day. Witnesses reported seeing the woman exiting the condo without him shortly afterward.

Afterward, his body was discovered with head injuries indicative of being struck by blunt objects.

As of now, the woman remains unidentified. Officials have described her as having fair skin, a slender physique, black hair, and an approximate height of 1.60 meters.

At the time the alleged crime took place, she was wearing blue denim shorts, sandals, and a white bra adorned with chain-like accessories. Security footage showed her walking along a street accompanied by another woman.

The Judicial Investigation Agency encourages anyone with relevant information regarding the woman or the incident to contact them at 800-800-0645.

Additionally, Fox News Digital has reached out to the State Department for further comments on the situation.
