When country star Chris Janson isn't playing on stage, he embraces something even bigger – his faith and family, through his love for all the highways.
The “Buy Me A Boat” singer opened up to Fox News Digital about his deep passion for hunting and fishing, calling it one of the “best experiences” of his life.
“I hunted with one of my sons and daughters,” Jansson said.

The singer-songwriter has four children. Janson and his wife, Kelly Lynn, were also his managers and welcomed two children together, daughter Georgia and son Jesse. Lin has two adult children from his previous marriage. Jansson considers them his own.
It is important for Janson to convey the great outdoor traditions, especially for his 11-year-old son, Jesse.
“Having my youngest son is like my second self,” he said. “I know what people are saying all the time… your child is a carbon copy, but really, my son is my carbon copy… we think the same way. We walk the same way.
The “Reel Bass Pro” crooner enjoyed playing together the father-son duo and their love for the outdoors at Fox News Digital.

“We hunt and fish… If you can't find us on stage… you'll probably find us somewhere hidden in the woods.
Jansson added that he believed in hunting and fishing to shape him into the man he is today, and that he found “a lot of happiness and peace in it.”

“Many people find God in certain places. I happened to find him at that moment. If it wasn't in my life, I wouldn't know that I would become the kind of person I am today.”

With his unwavering love for his family, the outdoors, and his faith, Jansson revealed it – he is a country boy of the heart.
“I'm a straight, straight, straight country guy with a heart on his sleeve,” said the “All American Man” singer.

“I say exactly what I'm thinking and I mean what I say. I love my wife, I love my kids… I love hunting and fishing… I love everything that comes with it. It's not just about harvesting. It's really about experience.”
Jansson looked back at his musical career and the people who had the biggest influence on him, including Kid Rock.

The admiration of the singer for “Stay Rowdy” and her friendship with Kid Rock runs deep not only for a shared love for country music, but also for a connection with the amazing outdoors.
Jansson told Fox News Digital that Kid Rock is one of his “oldest companions.”
“I love Kidlock. Personally, he's my old friend,” Jansson said. “Yes, he's a very vocal Trump supporter and I'm conservative. I love this country. I love our flag. I love our military. I love patriotism. I love everything about America.”
“It was part of the foundation that we are friends… when you start by making eye contact with someone and then you look at them… especially the majority of talking politically or musically… it just works. It's a good relationship.”

While Kid Rock's larger-than-life persona is no secret to fans, Jansson quickly highlighted aspects of a country rock star that people might not notice.
“He's very intelligent,” Jansson said of Kid Rock, adding, “I'm probably going to say a genius level on some things – and I'll say a lot.”
Beyond his musical talent, Kid Rock's dedication to his family is something Jansson admires and admires.
“He's a great friend, a good family man and he loves his family very passionately,” Jansson told Fox News Digital.

Their mutual passion for the great outdoors not only allowed them to form strong friendships, they also united them with like-minded souls in the hunting and fishing communities.
“I have a lot of mutual friends in that field,” Jansson pointed out.

Jansson is currently on tour with Kidlock and was excited about the opportunity to take the stage together.
“The tour is going to be really great,” he said. “It's a big party for America.”

The “Good Vibe” singer joined Kidlock for a special performance this weekend in Nebraska and Minnesota.
The music duo continues Share the stage March 28th, in Louisville, Kentucky, and March 29th in Milwaukee.
