Christian Influencer Couple Arrested for Alleged Abuse
A well-known Christian influencer couple has been taken into custody in Texas after allegations surfaced that they abused a 14-year-old girl. The couple, identified as Seth Michael Day, 39, and his wife, Heather Marie Day, faced serious accusations that include both sexual and physical abuse.
The allegations came to light when a high school teacher noticed visible injuries on the girl’s face and head. Concerned, the teacher reported the injuries to the Keene police. During an interview, the girl revealed that she had been subjected to repeated instances of abuse and claimed that Seth Day had assaulted her with a cell phone.
After receiving medical care at Cook Children’s Medical Center, the girl disclosed that she had also been sexually assaulted. In her most recent account of abuse, she stated that Seth Day assaulted her in the presence of Heather Day, who allegedly attempted to conceal the abuse by lying to authorities.
Authorities discovered evidence of the assaults after executing a search warrant at the couple’s residence. According to reports, Heather Day had falsely informed the victim that she suffered from a hereditary autoimmune condition, hereditary angioedema, to explain the girl’s injuries, which the police noted did not align with that explanation.
Both Seth and Heather Day were booked into Johnson County jail but later released on a $100,000 bail. Heather Day is known for hosting a Christian podcast, and together, the couple has authored several books, including one titled “I’ll See You Tomorrow.”
Seth Day is also a professor at Southwestern Adventist University; however, he was placed on administrative leave following his arrest. The university has released a statement asserting that they are fully cooperating with law enforcement and that the allegations do not involve any students, staff, or faculty members.
“The safety of our University community remains our first priority,” the university noted.
