Rep. Cory Mills Faces Restraining Order Hearing

Recent court documents reveal that Rep. Cory Mills (R-FLA.) has been summoned to attend a hearing regarding a restraining order requested by Miss Lindsey Langston, who holds the title of Miss United States. This situation, involving allegations of harassment and threats, is under scrutiny following her association with Mills in the House of Representatives.

Langston claimed that after their relationship soured, Mills allegedly threatened to share a personal video of her, aiming to embarrass her. This, coupled with ongoing allegations of inappropriate conduct, has escalated the situation significantly.

To shift the narrative, Mills stated that a judge had dismissed the restraining order application against him. However, it’s important to note that while the emergency protection order was not granted, the restraining order itself could still be approved after both parties present their cases during the scheduled hearing. The Daytona Beach News-Journal reported that this hearing is set for August 18th at 1:30 PM, conducted via Zoom.

Mills has been directed to appear, with a court order emphasizing that failure to do so may result in unfavorable judgment against him. Additionally, he has enlisted legal representation to navigate these serious matters.

Langston also shared her personal experience with Mills, indicating they met when she was in her 20s, just prior to his first election win, and they shared a romantic relationship during that time. She recounted that Mills had proposed a future together, which adds to the complexity of this case.
