Cowboys considering Maxx Crosby as the NFL trade deadline approaches

Cowboys Explore Trade for Maxx Crosby

The Dallas Cowboys have their sights set high as the NFL trade deadline approaches. Recent reports indicate that the team has reached out to the Las Vegas Raiders about the potential acquisition of Maxx Crosby.

At just 28 years old, Crosby stands out as one of the top pass rushers in the league. His addition could help offset the loss of Micah Parsons, who was traded to the Packers earlier this season for a pair of first-round picks and defensive lineman Kenny Clark.

This season, Crosby has made his mark with 28 total tackles, four sacks, one forced fumble, and an interception over seven games. When healthy, he’s recognized as one of the finest defensive players, boasting two Defensive Player of the Year votes and four Pro Bowl selections in his seven-year career.

Meanwhile, the Raiders find themselves in a tough spot after suffering a crushing 31-0 defeat to the Chiefs, which brought their record to 2-5. It’s possible they’ll be looking to make moves as the deadline nears.

In contrast, the Cowboys are currently 3-3-1, benefiting from one of the league’s strongest offensive lines. They’re performing well offensively, leading the NFL in total yards per game at 390.6 and placing second in points per game with 31.7. Quarterback Dak Prescott is putting together an impressive season, amassing 1,881 yards with 16 touchdown passes and only three interceptions.

However, with Parsons sidelined, the Cowboys have some defensive challenges to tackle. They currently rank last in total yards allowed per game at 401.6 and have given up the third-most points per game this season, averaging 29.4. Their pass defense is particularly struggling, allowing a league-high 260.3 yards through the air each game.
