The Cowboys’ 2024 season is cooked.
It’s official: Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott will be out for the remainder of the campaign after being scheduled for surgery on his partially torn hamstring. Franchise owner Jerry Jones made the announcement Tuesday morning while making his weekly appearance on 105.3 The Fan (KRLD-FM) in Dallas.
Jones stated that Prescott’s surgery will take place Wednesday in New York. (RELATED: NFL Looking To Hold Game In Australia Where You Know Players Are Going To Hate The Super Long Flight: REPORT)
Prescott went to a New York specialist Monday to get a second opinion on his hamstring injury, with the Cowboys organization anticipating that the evaluation would trigger the quarterback’s season-ending surgery, according to a report from The Dallas Morning News.
Previously, Cowboys team executives have publicly said that Prescott’s intentions were to figure out a way to avoid surgery so he could make a return this season. Now we know those plans didn’t work out, with Prescott being set for surgery on the partial avulsion of his right hamstring tendon.

I looked up a little bit about Prescott’s injury, and it’s literally a part of the hamstring tendon being torn apart from the bone, and holy hell, I wish I didn’t look that up.
