According to the annual Straw Poll of the Consulative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Vice President JD Vance is the most wanted Republican from the list of potential candidates for presidential candidates in the 2028 election cycle.

On Saturday, Vance selected 61% of CPAC participants in the annual straw vote held to determine that he should be the next GOP presidential candidate.
Steve Bannon came in second with 12%, while Florida Governor (R-FLA.) Ron Desantis came in third with 7%.
Polls showed Trump had a 99% approval rate from the crowd.
“The first few weeks of Donald Trump's presidency were the best for the modern conservative movement of my life.” 94% say they “strongly agreed.”
