CRAIG STANFILL: The American Experiment Has Gone Down In Flames

What should we do about it?

In the late 18th century, a group of unusually enlightened people came together to plan a rebellion against the most powerful military power of the time. Their grievances were many and were enshrined in the Declaration of Independence. This famous document was many things, but above all it was a cry of rebellion against tyranny – against the arbitrary, capricious and unwelcome rule of the British over the colonies. It was a cry for freedom.

Against all odds, their rebellion was successful, and a few years later they came together again to create a form of government strong enough to do the things only governments could do, such as military defense and enabling trade between the two countries. I devised this. situation. However, they were concerned about the dangers of tyranny, so they created a unique form of government: a federal republic, with power distributed among several states and numerous checks and balances to prevent abuse. (Related: John Stossel: Introducing the left’s exciting new plan to make the world miserable)

It was a noble experiment, and it served us well for centuries, but it has now failed in its primary purpose: to secure our freedom and prevent tyranny. It is essential to understand.

The evidence of this failure is indisputable to anyone with eyes to see. Unelected bureaucrats can impose their will on the people in ways that go far beyond the arbitrary and capricious control of the British, which defies imagination.

They impose regulations on us that outlaw all vehicles except those powered by fossil fuels.they have decreed That women can become men and men can become women, with complete disregard for biological reality.

they have conspired Work with the internet oligarchy to censor dissent and silence political opponents. They use the mechanisms of law enforcement to protect your friends and persecute your enemies.

The intelligence agencies are spying on the American people, and the FBI is becoming more and more like a secret police force with each passing day. I’m afraid of my government. I’m scared of the knock on my door in the middle of the night. The grievances contained in the Declaration of Independence seem trivial in comparison.

If the Democrats have their way, things will get even worse. They have made it clear that they intend to restore the system of checks and balances that have kept tyrants at bay for centuries.they will do that eliminate the Senate filibuster.

they will do that crowd the Supreme Court And turn it into something like the Soviet Politburo, an organ of political power with absolute authority over all aspects of life and unaccountable to the people. They will continue to push for voting rights for noncitizens, allowing millions of undocumented immigrants to vote in major local and state elections.

And perhaps worst of all, under a Democratic administration, power will be further concentrated in Washington, which will aggressively crack down on local and state governments that don’t embrace the left’s vision. In other words, absolute tyranny will be established.

Our Constitution is designed to prevent this from happening. It is time for us to realize that the experiment in self-government has failed. Must Please do something before it’s too late.

how did we get here? It all starts with federal funding. Money has been, and still is, a deeply corrupting influence in government. This has been true throughout history, going back to the Romans and even before that.

Money is power. Money is control. With money, you can reward your friends and punish your enemies. Federal funds became a tool used by bureaucrats to impose their will on state and local governments, eviscerating the federal system.

The Biden administration is making donations. Trillion Dollars of public money are being spent to support our allies and buy votes with the money they took from us. However, no matter how many trillions of dollars are thrown out, it is not enough and the country is on the verge of going bankrupt. The system they built will collapse, and so will we.

So what should we do? How can we regain our lost freedom and protect ourselves from the coming tyranny?

To do that, we need to be as bold as our opponents. They say the American system should be burned down and replaced with a new one. I partially agree. That’s right, burn it down. But replace it with the old one: the federal republic that the Founders intended us to have. This will require extensive work. In other words, Large scale — A reduction in the size and scope of government and a return to its stated purposes, as eloquently stated in the preamble to the U.S. Constitution.

“We, the people of the United States, wish to form a more perfect union, to establish justice, to insure domestic tranquility, to provide for the common defense, to promote the general welfare, and to protect ourselves and our posterity. In order to secure the blessings of liberty, we do this: “And establish this Constitution for the United States of America.” ”

No more.
