Crispin Glover faces serious legal troubles as a lawsuit filed by an unnamed woman in Los Angeles alleges assault and fraud. The woman, referred to as Jane Doe, claims that the “Back to the Future” actor “essentially held her captive and exploited her for sex and unpaid work.”
At 61, Glover is accused of seducing and manipulating Doe into relinquishing her home and possessions in England to serve as her assistant in Hollywood. The woman asserts that he promised her both a place to stay and a job if she relocated to Los Angeles.
However, once she arrived, Doe reported that Glover attempted to control her every move, expecting her to act as a live-in girlfriend, which—let’s be honest—sounds quite unsettling. Allegedly, he illegally evicted her and even filed a false police report against her, claiming she was a trespasser, despite her indicating he wouldn’t comply with his increasingly odd requests.
While there’s no immediate comment from Glover’s representatives, the lawsuit claims she met him through social media back in 2015. By 2023, during a meeting in Germany, Glover allegedly showcased Nazi memorabilia, which is, well, pretty disturbing. Shortly after this encounter, he lured her into his home under further promises.
She sold all her possessions to move to the U.S. and found herself mostly at Glover’s mercy upon arrival. Reports indicate that when she attempted to attend a mosque in March 2024, Glover allegedly warned her she’d be locked out of his house if she did so. After still going to services, she was indeed locked out, and when she tried to return, Glover purportedly attacked her, leaving visible marks on her neck.
Doe also mentioned he followed up with a fraudulent restraining order against her, which was ultimately dismissed for lack of prosecution. Even after this denial, the actor reportedly continued to harass her and tried to manipulate her into a sexual relationship.
Today, Doe claims she is still homeless and traumatized by these experiences with Glover. Alongside the assault and fraud allegations, she has also sued him for malicious prosecution, emotional distress, and wrongful eviction.
