Incident at Texas Tech Involving Charlie Kirk Supporter
A woman was caught on video making light of Charlie Kirk’s supporters before allegedly engaging in a physical altercation. This took place on Friday at Texas Tech University, as reported.
“I’m not aggressive! My voice is very calm! People say I’m offensive just because I’m a black woman!” she claimed in response to accusations.
The footage, shared online, shows a man wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat commemorating Charlie Kirk, who was killed at Utah Valley University during an event for popular students. The woman, however, seemed displeased by the opposing signs, shouting, “f**k y’all, homie dead! He was shot in his head!”
The man reacted, saying, “Evil exists, and it looks like that.” He further added, “Murder is wrong. She’s evil.” He asked her to step back, but she objected, asserting he was invading her space. Others off-camera noted her emotional outbursts, which only fueled her anger.
In an attempt to defend herself, the woman insisted she wasn’t aggressive, reiterating her calm demeanor and implying that the backlash stemmed from her race.
The woman involved has been identified as 18-year-old Camryn Giselle Booker, a student at Texas Tech. Reports indicate that she reportedly pushed several individuals, including an older veteran and a young mother with children, which led to a broader altercation.
On Monday, the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office stated that Booker was arrested Friday, and she posted a $200 bond on Saturday.
The incident even drew commentary from Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who expressed his disapproval on social media, criticizing the reaction to Kirk’s death and indicating dissatisfaction with the school’s environment.
In the aftermath, a board member from the Texas Tech system expressed pride in the institution’s values, reinforcing their stance against such actions. Meanwhile, confirmation regarding Booker’s potential expulsion from Texas Tech is still pending.
