Daily Caller columnist Mary Luke accused California of using teachers to “force” LGBT policies on students on Tuesday’s Newsmax.
Luke appeared on “Carl Higbee Frontline” and said Pleasant Grove Elementary School sent an email to teachers about “Resistance” that focused on how to respond to parents who resist youth members. Parents in California who were reportedly invited to attend a training session on the subject spoke about recent findings. of the LGBT community, according to to the California Family Council. Additionally, the school allowed a third-grade teacher to personally invite students to an LGBT club he had started, before sending the email to teachers, the paper said.
Newsmax host Carl Higbie asked the Daily Caller columnist for his thoughts on how the state appears to be using teachers to advance LGBT policies. Luke said the state appears to believe it “knows better” than parents and continues to “indoctrinate” children behind parents’ backs. “This is just a recognition,” Luke said. “Remember that video of the California gay choir singing in unison, ‘We’re coming for your children’? Here’s what it did. Stand up and say, ‘No, actually. Some parents may say, “We just found out about this club and we don’t want it in our kids’ classrooms.” And they turned around and said, “Okay, you don’t want it?” Well, guess what? We will teach our teachers how to continue to enforce these policies, how to continue to teach our children and indoctrinate them with these ideologies behind their backs. Because whether you want it or not, whether it’s in line with your family’s ideas or not. , this is what we want them to do. And the state knows better than you. ”
Parents who learned about the teacher training accused the district of indifference to parents’ rights and of not keeping parents in the dark at a March 5 board meeting.
A California school district has previously accused two teachers who started an LGBT club at the California Teachers Association (CTA) and trained the girl on how to invite children without their parents’ permission to recruit the girl to the club and secretly transferred her to the school.
