The NFL regular season has ended. Your fantasy playoffs are over. You're wrestling with the reality that the overall number of games remaining is slightly more than the number of games you've watched on a single Sunday over the past 18 weeks.
But wait… Before we succumb to the annual post-football slump, there are still some fantasy scraps to nibble on before the great football fast. Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) contests allow you to feed the beast just a little bit, as dessert after a season-long fantasy meal.
There are good reasons to jump into DFS at this point in the football season. Many players who play in seasonal leagues won't be able to just stay out in the cold until next fall and will be looking for a solution. This adds inexperience to the participants in the contest, making it easier for sharper players to gain an advantage.
The short slates also limit stacking options. Therefore, those who don't invest in dozens or hundreds of DFS entries have a better chance of choosing the right games to stack. After all, finding 1 out of 6 is easier than finding 1 out of 16.
