Dan Harley is not a classy loser.
UConn's polarization coach was upset over hosting the team's second round of the team's madness defeat in March to Florida.
The No. 8 seed Husky fell 77-75 on Sunday at Renovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, but collapsed 77-75 on Sunday to end his three-peat dream.
Warning: Graphic Language
“I hope they don't f-k like they f-k us,” cried Harley as he and the Husky left the court and went out into the tunnel. “I hope they don’t do that to you.
No. 9 seed Baylor was set to take on No. 1 seed Duke at Lenovo Center following the UConn-Florida match.
Back-to-back national champion UConn was aiming to become the first team to win three straight titles since John Wood's UCLA team won seven straight titles in a row between 1967 and '73.
The Huskies led the Gators for most of the game, but the slow gusts led by Walter Clayton Jr. helped Florida avoid the fear and proceed to the sweet 16.
Florida took 34 foul shots and made 22, while UConn scored 22 foul shots and made 19.
Harley choked his tears later.
“I thought we played with incredible honor,” Harley said in a post-game interview on the CBS broadcast. “We played in a central and continuous programme of the championship programme, and they had to put us in order for the team to finish what we really wanted to do.
But in the way Harley commands himself, not so much.
He also took a little time to praise his players.
“I love them,” Harley said. “This year, it was a real battle. We fought. We had to fight and fight and fight. Sometimes I don't think we like each other very much in some of the things we have to go through together.
