Delaware Dance Instructor Arrested for Sexual Abuse

A dance instructor in Delaware has been taken into custody, facing accusations of sexually abusing teenagers attending classes at his studio. Authorities are alerting that there could be additional victims involved.

According to a statement from the Delaware State Police, Emily Pryor Albino, 23, from Seaford, has been charged with multiple offenses, including four counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a child by a trusted party, and one count of felony sexual solicitation of a child through electronic means.

As part of the ongoing investigation, police noted, “Further investigation revealed that Pryor Albino also exchanged sexually explicit messages with both victims.”

Under Delaware law, a conviction for first-degree sexual abuse of a child by a trusted party can result in a minimum prison sentence of 10 years, potentially extending to life imprisonment. Additionally, those convicted of using electronic devices for child solicitation could face up to 25 years in prison.

Pryor Albino was arraigned and subsequently booked into the Delaware Department of Corrections, where bail was set at $110,000 cash.

Authorities began their investigation on August 4, following reports of the alleged abuse involving two teenagers from his dance studio, Extreme Dance Studio in Laurel. Detectives suspect there might be more victims linked to this case.

The Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigation Division continues to collaborate with the Delaware Department of Justice in this investigation. Neither Extreme Dance Studio nor local law enforcement officials have responded to requests for comments related to the case.
