Daniel Craig didn't want to ruin his good fortune.
The 56-year-old actor recently revealed that he has no plans other than to probably never work again after his 15-year reign as James Bond ends.

“I didn't have any plans. I thought, 'I might never work again,'” he said in an interview after appearing in the fifth Bond film.

“We probably shouldn't have started production, but we did,” he added. “I ended up writing a lot of this movie, but I probably shouldn't say that. I don't want any credit. It's okay.”
In 2019, Craig announced that he was done playing the iconic spy after five films. His final film, No Time to Die, featured the death of his character.
While promoting Queer recently, Craig said he's become a “different person” since his time as Bond ended.
