Daniel Craig didn't want to ruin his good fortune.
The 56-year-old actor recently revealed that he has no plans other than to probably never work again after his 15-year reign as James Bond ends.

“I didn't have any plans. I thought, 'I might never work again,'” he said in an interview after appearing in the fifth Bond film.
But what caught Guadagnino's attention was not Craig's role as Bond, but the fact that he has appeared in several films since No Time to Die (2021).

Earlier this month, Craig revealed that making Quantum of Solace in 2008 was a “horrible nightmare” due to the 2007-2008 Writers Guild of America strike.
“We probably shouldn't have started production, but we did,” he added. “I ended up writing a lot of this movie, but I probably shouldn't say that. I don't want any credit. It's okay.”
In 2019, Craig announced that he was done playing the iconic spy after five films. His final film, No Time to Die, featured the death of his character.
While promoting Queer recently, Craig said he's become a “different person” since his time as Bond ended.
