Darius Slayton had sent the right message to the Giants and their fans about his latest quarterback acquisition.
And on the way to New York, Russell Wilson was the only thing he really needed to say.
“Giant's Country….Let Ride,” Slayton wrote to X following news that Wilson had signed a one-year deal with Big Blue on Tuesday night.
For beginners, the phrase “Ride of the Broncos” was uttered the phrase over and over again in a promotional video, along with Denver after Wilson in the summer of 2022.
After the clip went viral, the words were always linked to his name.
Slayton, who signed a three-year, $36 million contract this offseason, will be veteran quarterback with Wilson, which will bring in a 13-year NFL experience and 10 Pro Bowls.
Wilson joined the Steelers in 2024 after two up-and-coming seasons in Denver.
Injured for the first six weeks, Wilson played week 7-17, with five intercepts for 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns and 51.3 QBR.
The Giants now have a full quarterback room with Wilson and Jamis Winston added and re-signed by Tommy DeVito.

New York struggled strongly with QB production last year, finishing with the fifth pass offense in the NFL (189.9 yards per game) and a passing touchdown (15).
