In Paris, France, a masked gang reportedly attacked the CEO of a cryptocurrency company along with her two-year-old daughter. The woman’s husband attempted to intervene during the assault but was also harmed in the process.
The 34-year-old victim is identified as the daughter of Pierre Noizat, who co-founded Paymium, a French cryptocurrency exchange.
Video footage captured the alarming moment when a masked individual tried to force the woman and her child into a white van, while bystanders heard her cries for help. Her husband also tried to defend them but was soon hit in the head.
Fortunately, nearby witnesses came to the rescue, urging the attackers to flee. One person even chased them away using a fire extinguisher.
Reports suggest that her husband, who is 30, got back on his feet and shielded his family, sustaining possible stab wounds in the process. At one point, the woman managed to grab a weapon from one of the attackers and threw it into the street; authorities later clarified that it was just a “replica airgun.”
French law enforcement is still looking for the suspects after they found the getaway vehicle in a nearby area. The Paris Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the motives behind this shocking incident.
There has been an uptick in crimes targeting wealthy individuals in the cryptocurrency sector. Earlier this year, the co-founder of the crypto company Ledger faced a similar situation involving a ransom demand at his home. In the U.S., several crypto billionaires’ residences were also targeted by burglars recently.
In March 2025, popular Twitch streamer Kaitlyn Siragusa, known as “Amouranth,” reported an armed break-in at her house where intruders sought access to her cryptocurrency assets. Siragusa’s husband confronted the attackers, leading to an escape.
