Davante Adams is apparently having some sort of feud with a division rival’s social media team.
During an appearance on “Up and Adams” on Tuesday, the Raiders’ star wide receiver fired back at the Chargers, who featured his picture next to a box of trash-flavored imitation Pop-Tarts when they released the team’s schedule in May.
“I thought about responding on social media and making it fun, but I thought it would be better to actually hit them over the head,” Adams said.
Later in the interview, Adams, 31, offered a stern warning to those who post on X.
“Hopefully, the people who made that post have nothing to do with it as it is not the players’ fault. This was directed at the Chargers social media pages. Please don’t mention my name and be respectful.”
Adams will have a chance for revenge early this season, when the Raiders face the Chargers in Week 1 on Sept. 8 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
The six-time Pro Bowler averaged 107 yards receiving, 41 catches and four touchdowns in five games against the Chargers, making him anything but average, and Adams is keeping that in mind as coach.

“The first game we played them, they obviously forgot I had 10 catches for 141 yards and a touchdown,” he said in an interview, “and then the next game that same year, I think I had 177 yards and two touchdowns, so I just wanted them to remember what they’ve been through in terms of playing against me.”
The Raiders and Adams will meet for the second time in the season finale, Week 18, in Las Vegas against the Chargers.
