Dave McCormick Ad Hits Bob Casey for Weakness on China

According to a source familiar with the matter, the ad will accuse Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pennsylvania, of being weak on China when it comes to protecting American manufacturing jobs.

“On the campaign trail, Bob Casey talks tough stuff. But in Washington it’s a different story,” the ad begins.

The ad accuses Casey of receiving “thousands of dollars” from China-linked companies and of overseeing millions of dollars of investments from state pension funds into companies backed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

“The list of China connections goes on and on,” the ad reads.

It would also be a blow to Casey’s voting record on American-made manufacturing.

“Casey voted to enrich China’s EV industry. He even voted to sell American oil to China. And Bob Casey personally invested in a major Chinese oil company that was blacklisted for selling oil to Iran,” the article reads.

“Bob Casey is too weak on China and too weak on Pennsylvania,” he concludes.

The ad was created by Casey’s Republican opponent, Army veteran and businessman Dave McCormick.

This race is extremely competitive in key battleground states. Recent Opinion Polls According to Rasmussen, incumbent Casey is leading McCormick by just 3 percentage points.
